Problem in King of the Hill mode
Whenever our group (the [VXIX] guild) goes to the King of the Hill battles, our problem kicks our ass.
Our ghostly hero dies. Not a big problem. We regroup and let the other guys fight it out. We kill their heros, drop our orb to ressurect our hero, and NOTHING HAPPENS. We make sure we're standing right on top of him (we have ventrilo, easy to shout that). NOTHING HAPPENS.
Is there a condition we have to meet to have him ressurect with the orb?
Or are we just not cool enough? /cry
Quick responses will be nice. We'll do a run or two and check back. Thanks in advance.

heheh.. we've played you guys a few times... I can't actually say I've experienced or seen this problem, but we've never lost our hero in that particular map you're talking about (3 team KotH), but it seems odd. When you pick up the orb, it says it resurrects party members within 50 feet... maybe that *doesn't* count the hero? Since he's an ally, rather than in the party? Yet at the same time, that wouldn't make sense, since those orbs essentially exist for the hero... sorry chief =/

If it doesn't ressurect the hero, how does everyone else ressurect their hero? We see them stand up after dieing all the time.

Yes, that's precisely the problem. Sorry, my response was a roundabout way of saying - I have no idea. If you get to that map, leave your hero alone, etc, and test it out.

Hero Ressurection works just fine, and yes the orb brings him back.
You might want to not drop it right ontop of him and drop it farther away.
Of course you might wanna consider not having him die in the first place:P

Yeah, I know it works. I know the orb ressurects them. I have seen other players do it. It's even worked 'once or twice' with us. But 90% of the time, we drop the orb (On top and a few steps away, within the "50 feet" that the message says), and he doesn't ressurect.
We're 100% positive we're doing everything right (except, we're working on our "keeping him alive" strategy), but he doesn't revive. Ever. Why?

Keeping the hero alive is very important, but obviously I don't need to tell you that...
You do know that the orb doesn't activate unless it is dropped on the altar, correct? It will only res allies within 50 feet if it is dropped on the altar in the center, otherwise you get nothing. We've ressed our hero this way many times, so I can't imagine what else your problem would be...

Thanks >.<.. Didn't know it had to be dropped on the alter. We feel like such idiots (yelling at ourselves in Vent right now).

Well!
At the risk of looking like an idiot as well, I didn't know that. I think I'm gonna have to brush this one off by saying we never let our hero die =P
